Job summary

4over is seeking a Stitcher Operator in Arlington, Texas. This role requires the setup and operation of Muller Martini-Presto saddle stitchers to produce high-quality finished products like magazines and catalogs. The candidate should have a High School Diploma or GED and a minimum of 3 years experience with saddle stitchers. Competitive hourly pay between $17.00 and $20.00 is offered.

Summary

The Stitcher Operator is responsible for the setup, adjustment, and safe operation of 6 pocket Muller Martini-Presto saddle stitchers to produce quality finished products such as magazines, catalogs and pamphlets that meet customer specifications and quality standards.

Schedule

1st shift, Monday - Friday, eight or more hours per day, five days per week based on business needs. Primary schedule will be 5:00 AM – 1:00 PM, or similar. Training may occur other times.

Salary Range: $17.00 - $20.00 hourly

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Access the batching system to view batch lists and identify priority jobs to be completed
  • Review job tickets and plan work processes to meet customer specifications for custom jobs
  • Ensure machines are ready and set specifications to run products as required
  • Quality control of completed jobs, providing updates on job status and schedule to the supervisor
  • Make adjustments as needed to maintain specifications and timely flow of materials
  • Monitor assigned machine during run to ensure machines are maintaining the proper requirements
  • Unload machine and stack materials on pallets
  • Ensure jobs are meeting quality and quantity requirements
  • Troubleshoot machine problems, resolve if possible, notifying Floor Supervisor
  • Maintain proper machine maintenance and lubrication
  • Remove waste items for recycling
  • Complete and process all required paperwork, records, documents, etc.
  • Regularly perform general housekeeping duties in your work area(s)
  • Adhere to all safety policies and protocols and maintain a safe working environment
  • Assist in cultivating an interdependent safety culture by reporting workplace hazards, related injuries, illnesses and/or near misses to management immediately
  • Attend all department/company meetings
  • Wear all assigned Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when required
  • Other duties as assigned

Experience and Qualifications

Education, Licenses, Certifications, Experiences:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalency; or six‑month to one‑year related experience in a manufacturing environment and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Three (3) year’s experience with Muller Martini‑Presto saddle stitchers

Critical Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Requirements:

  • Problem‑Solving and Adaptability: Strong problem‑solving skills when faced with unexpected challenges, such as machine malfunctions, material shortages, or errors in print quality. Ability to adapt to new printing technologies or changes in production schedules, ensuring smooth operations despite changes.
  • Time Management & Efficiency: Ability to manage multiple print jobs simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met without sacrificing quality. Organize workflows, prepare materials in advance, and optimize print runs for efficiency and cost‑effectiveness.
  • Attention to Detail: Precision in monitoring print jobs to ensure all details, such as color accuracy, image sharpness, and print placement, meet the required standards. Detect small defects or inconsistencies during production and take corrective action immediately.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to read and understand corporate policies, job‑related documents, and written/verbal instructions in English to ensure effective and compliant job performance.
  • Strong foundational math skills, with the ability to perform basic operations including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • Highly detail‑oriented, organized, and efficient in managing time, with a proven ability to meet deadlines and complete tasks accurately.

  • Discretionary employer match; typically, 50% of employee deferrals up to 6% of compensation
