Job summary

Streamworks in Blaine, MN is hiring a Bindery Operator for the 1st shift to finish printed materials by cutting, folding, gluing, and stitching. The role offers a competitive hourly wage and a comprehensive benefits package as part of full-time employment.

As a Bindery Operator, you will handle high-volume tasks, set up and operate equipment, and ensure accurate job data entry, while collaborating with teammates and following USPS guidelines for mail preparation.

Qualifications

• Equipment setup, trouble shoot, and run lettershop equipment (bindery, inserters, inkjets, postage equipment, labelling equipment, camera technologies, etc.)
• Computer programs basic knowledge
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions with attention to detail.
• Near vision to read small print.
• Ability to adjust controls of equipment precisely.
• Hand/eye coordination required.
• Manual dexterity for rapid object handling.
• Ability to recognize problems and potential issues.
• Fast reaction to stop equipment when needed.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand job tickets and customer instructions.
• Follow the sign-off procedure in a timely and accurate manner.
• Understand and execute sign-off and Continuity pull process.
• Enter job, inventory and time data into data collection systems.
• Use the equipment's computer for programming and setup.
• Communicate via Microsoft Outlook and attach documents.
• Setup, operate and maintain the assigned equipment.
• Follow processes for inserter operation.
• Perform helper duties and station setup.
• Inform supervisor when supplies are needed.
• Communicate status to incoming shift via Crossover Log Book.
• Maintain shift logs and postage usage sheets.
