Job Description

Shift: 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM

Pay: $20.00/hr to $23.00/hr

2nd Shift Differential: $2/hr

Responsibilities:

1. Set up, adjust, and operate a variety of die cutter and taper machines.
2. Inspect equipment for safety issues.
3. Make needed adjustments to coordinate the multiple work stations on a single machine.
4. Direct crew through all aspects of production.
5. Monitor quality, output, and productivity.

Qualifications:

• Thorough knowledge of setup, adjustment, procedures, capabilities, and limitations of equipment to perform standard and specialized binding, folding, collating, and cutting of printed materials to complete a finished product.
• Comprehensive knowledge of machinability of different paper weights, sizes, kinds, and colors to identify paper conditions such as excessive moisture or curling that may require additional machine adjustments.
• Ability to use standard and specialized tools and devices to adjust and maintain the accuracy and operating conditions of bindery machines.
• Skill in making difficult adjustments to powered machines using hand tools like wrenches, screwdrivers, punches, and knives, as well as specialized tools provided by the manufacturer.
• Skill in operating complex bindery equipment such as folders, cutters, collators, drills, and binding/gluing machines.
• Ability to read and interpret work instructions indicating the machine operations required to complete tasks while maintaining dimensional accuracy.

Additional Information:

All information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines. The pay range at this location is $20.00 to $29.00 per hour, with actual pay depending on education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift, and location. Compensation may include overtime and shift differentials.
