Job summary

Prisma Austin is seeking an experienced Bindery Operator to independently set up and operate bindery equipment to produce high-quality finished products. The role requires hands-on experience with cutter, folder, and stitcher setups within a commercial printing environment.

The successful candidate will read job tickets, adjust machines, verify folds and cuts, troubleshoot issues, and maintain a clean, safe workspace while meeting production deadlines.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a bindery operator in a commercial printing environment.
• Ability to independently set up cutters, folders, and stitchers.
• Proficient reading of job tickets and production specifications.
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Maintain safety procedures and a clean, organized work area.

Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust, and operate bindery equipment to meet job specifications.
• Read and interpret job tickets, layouts, and production specifications.
• Measure and verify folds, cuts, page order, alignment, and finished dimensions.
• Inspect work quality during production and troubleshoot issues.
• Maintain production schedules and meet deadlines.
• Record production counts, waste, and completed work.
• Follow safety procedures and keep equipment clean.
• Communicate production issues or delays to bindery leadership.

About the RolePrisma is hiring an experienced Bindery Operator to independently set up and operate binderyequipment to produce high-quality finished products.
