Job summary

Accelera is seeking a reliable Bindery and Mailing Machine Operator in Waukegan, IL. This hands-on role includes comprehensive training to operate, tune, and maintain a range of production and mailing equipment.

You will work Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, with willingness for overtime and occasional Saturday shifts during peak production. The position offers hourly compensation between $18.00 and $23.00, based on mechanical aptitude.

Qualifications

• Possess a mechanical mindset and a genuine desire to understand how industrial equipment functions.
• Demonstrate reliability and a strong commitment to working collaboratively within a team.
• Feel at ease operating and working in close proximity to production machinery.
• Show an aptitude for learning complex machine setups, fine-tuning, and diagnostic procedures.
• Previous background in automotive, warehouse, manufacturing, or similar mechanical environments is beneficial.
• Experience in mailing, bindery, or printing is helpful but not mandatory.
• Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs. to assist with material loading and equipment maintenance.
• Flexibility to put in extra hours or work on Saturdays when the workload increases.

Responsibilities

• Master the operation of various mailing, bindery, and production systems.
• Configure machine settings to meet specific project requirements.
• Feed paper stock and necessary supplies into the equipment.
• Perform routine mechanical adjustments and basic troubleshooting tasks.
• Resolve equipment jams and swap out components to keep production moving.
• Oversee machine performance during runs to ensure consistent output.
• Verify the quality and precision of all completed products to ensure client satisfaction.
• Keep your workstation tidy and well-organized to promote a safe environment.
• Support the team with additional production and mailing tasks as needed.
• Adhere to all safety protocols to maintain a secure workplace for everyone.
