Job summary

Convivial Brands Elc is seeking an Entry Level Bindery Machine & Treatment Operator I in Wyoming, MI. The role involves setting up and operating bindery equipment, feeding and stacking materials, and ensuring quality compliance on daily production tasks.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Sets up, adjusts, and operates various bindery equipment such as buckle folder, saddle stitch, cutter, or sheet laminating.
• Feeds, stocks, moves, jogs, arranges, unloads, and rotates items on/off bindery and finishing equipment in accordance with operating instructions.
• Understands different paper weights, sizes, kinds, and colors to identify paper conditions.
• Cuts the paper for their jobs.
• Monitors quality and performs all required testing and makes any equipment adjustments necessary.
• Performs housekeeping and preventative maintenance on all machines and work areas.
• Reads and understands work orders, layout sheets, and other specifications prior to starting the assigned job.
• Completes all work timely and accurately.
• Cross trains in other areas of the print shop.
• Performs other duties as assigned by direct Supervisor.

The Bindery Machine & Treatment Operator Level I is responsible for setting up, operating, and troubleshooting a variety equipment (cutting, folding, and/or stitching) to meet daily production and quality goals in a safe and efficient manner.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Sets up, adjusts, and operates various bindery equipment such as buckle folder, saddle stitch, cutter, or sheet laminating.
• Feeds, stocks, moves, jogs, arranges, unloads, and rotates items on/off bindery and/or finishing equipment in accordance with operating instructions.
• Understands different paper weights, sizes, kinds, and colors to be able to identify paper conditions
• Cuts the paper for their jobs.
• Monitors quality and performs all required testing and makes any equipment adjustments necessary
• Performs housekeeping and preventative maintenance duties on all machines and work areas
• Reads and understands work orders, layout sheets, and other specifications prior to starting the assigned job.
