Job summary

District Photo Inc. in Phoenix seeks a skilled Bindery Production Operator to operate and maintain digital press and bindery equipment in our Phoenix factory.

The role requires practical experience with digital print presses, strong mechanical aptitude, and adherence to safety policies to produce high-quality products. You will adapt to a fast-paced manufacturing environment, train new operators, and collaborate with team members to meet deadlines while upholding our quality standards and safety

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience operating specialized print press machinery.
• Must be fluent in English, with strong reading and writing skills to interpret technical documents, reports, and communicate with team.
• Familiarity with safety standards, 6S and quality control procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain a range of bindery and digital press equipment.
• Review product for inconsistencies or abnormal appearance and ensure quality standards.
• Read job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements.
• Set stops or guides to specific lengths as indicated by scales or templates.
• Observe machine operation to detect defects or malfunctions and escalate as needed to appropriate personnel.
• Perform routine and preventative machine maintenance and document it.
• Train new operators with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their roles.
• Assist other operators to set up machines and meet deadlines while ensuring product quality.
