Job summary

A leading construction contractor in Richmond, VA, is seeking a Virtual Construction Quality Control Specialist. This role involves ensuring all Virtual Construction deliverables meet project standards and managing related documentation. Candidates should have a high school diploma and experience in mechanical, plumbing, or sheet metal work. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and Navisworks is also required. The position emphasizes quality assurance and collaboration within project teams. Veterans are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Experience in schedule and budget management for all Virtual Construction cost codes.
• High level understanding of his/her trade (mechanical pipe, plumbing or sheet metal).
• Field experience at a foreman’s level pertaining to his/her trade.

Responsibilities

• Develop Company Standard documents.
• Review and mark up shop drawings.
• Assure all BIM models meet company standards.
• Collaborate with BIM Supervisor on drawing deliverables.
• Communicate with Project Manager or Project Engineer as required.

Skills

Schedule and budget management

Understanding of mechanical pipe, plumbing, or sheet metal

Field experience at a foreman’s level

Ability to read and understand contract drawings

Proficiency in CAD based software
