Job summary

The Haskell Company in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Virtual Construction Specialist (BIM/VDC) to advance project teams through BIM workflows, clash-free coordination, and advanced scheduling integrations. You will develop integrated models with Navisworks, coordinate with design and field groups, and support estimating with BIM-derived quantities while contributing to 3D modeling and digital layout efforts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Technology.
• 1–3 years of experience in BIM/VDC Technologies in AEC preferred.
• Proficiency with BIM/CAD applications required.
• Programming/coding skills are preferred.
• Ability to organize and manage multiple deadlines and schedules in a fast-paced environment.
• Understanding of AEC workflows (schematic design to construction docs).
• Understanding of delivery team roles (architects, engineers, estimators, PMs, field staff).
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate using integrated models and Navisworks; generate clash reports across design disciplines.
• Participate in virtual collaboration meetings and support decision-making using the coordination model.
• Extract quantity data from BIM for estimators; cross-reference drawings and specs for model accuracy.
• Create 3D modeling and detailing for visualization and coordination drawings.
• Provide model-based layout coordinates and as-built reports for field surveying teams onsite for layout of concrete, steel, utilities.
• Process, register, and publish laser scan point clouds for coordination and scan-to-BIM.
• Create 4D/5D renderings and detailed schedule visualizations for proposals and construction teams.
• Support innovation through research and testing of new technologies.
• Assist field teams with drone and reality capture services as needed.
