Job summary

Baker Construction is seeking a BIM/VDC Specialist to support the Building Information Modeling and Virtual Design Construction processes. You will work under the BIM/VDC Manager to facilitate jobsite construction using VDC, creating 3D models for a complex project or multiple smaller ones, and may assist with design validation and model maintenance.

Field visits enrich understanding of concrete construction methods.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a related construction field with 5 years of experience, or equivalent.
• Advanced knowledge of 3D/4D/5D BIM and platforms such as AutoCAD, Architectural Desktop, Revit, Tekla.

Summary

The BIM/VDC Specialist supports the Building Information Modeling and Virtual Design Construction process and works directly under the BIM/VDC Manager to facilitate jobsite construction using VDC. The Specialist creates 3D models on one complex project or multiple small projects and may assist with design validation and model maintenance. Visits field to learn concrete construction means and methods.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in a related construction field and 5 years of experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Advanced knowledge of 3D/4D/5D BIM and of appropriate platforms such as AutoCad, Architectural Desktop, Revit, Tekla, etc.
