Job summary

EZARC is seeking a BIM/VDC Manager to lead the BIM team, develop and coordinate Building Information Models, and ensure clash-free coordination across project lifecycles. You will manage budgets, oversee model accuracy, and communicate with project managers, engineers, and trade partners on-site.

The role emphasizes client-facing collaboration, BEP adherence, and delivering clear visual communication through federated models and reports. Strong leadership and detailed BIM knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• 10 years BIM/VDC experience on commercial or industrial projects.
• High proficiency in Revit, Navisworks Manage, Forma (ACC), NewForma Konect.
• Strong understanding of construction means, methods, sequencing, and BEP alignment.
• Experience with clash detection and coordination workflows.
• Ability to interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead BIM/VDC team including BIM Coordinators and Modelers.
• Manage budgets and staffing for the BIM/VDC department.
• Coordinate with PMs, superintendents, engineers, and trade partners.
• Oversee model creation, BEP compliance, and version control.
• Run weekly BIM/VDC meetings and track milestones.

• Support site planning, quantity takeoffs, and visualizations as needed.
• Produce federated models, coordination reports, and view sets.

Position Summary

The BIM/VDC Manager supports project teams by developing, managing, and coordinating Building Information Models to improve constructability, coordination, and project delivery. This role manages and directs the work of the BIM Coordinators. BIM Modelers and other BIM team members. The BIM/VDC Manager will be responsible for the client-facing interactions with project managers, superintendents, engineers, and trade partners to ensure accurate models, clash detection, and clear visual communication throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

BIM/VDC Team Management

• Run weekly BIM/VDC meetings
• Coordinate, direct, and assign work to BIM/VDC team
• Maintain and establish budgets for the BIM/VDC department
• Interview and hire new team members
• Vet and contract consultants, contract workers, and staff augmentation
• Oversee project milestones and deliverables.
• Update and maintain BIM execution plans
• Onboard, train, and improve skills and capabilities of BIM team members
• Assist business development and estimating in procuring new work

BIM & Model Management

• Upload, maintain, and update BIM models in Revit, Navisworks, Trimble Connect, and similar based on project requirements
• Ensure models comply with company BIM standards, project BIM Execution Plans (BEP), and client requirements
• Maintain model accuracy, organization, and version control throughout the project

Coordination & Clash Detection

• Run and manage clash detection using Navisworks (or similar tools)
• Prepare and lead coordination meetings with internal teams and trade partners
• Track, document, and follow up on clash resolution and design issues

VDC Support

• Support construction planning using models for:
• Fabrication construction
• Site logistics
• Phasing and sequencing
• Assist with model-based quantity takeoffs and visualizations as needed

Project & Team Collaboration

• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, superintendents, and subcontractors
• Assist in onboarding trade partners into the BIM coordination process
• Communicate model issues clearly and proactively

Documentation & Deliverables

• Produce BIM deliverables including:
• Federated models
• Coordination reports
• View sets and construction visual
• Maintain organized BIM project folders and documentation

Required Qualifications

• 10 years Experience in BIM / VDC on commercial or industrial construction projects
• High proficiency in:
  • Revit
  • Navisworks Manage
  • Forma (formerly ACC)
  • NewForma Konect
• Solid understanding of construction means, methods, and sequencing
• Experience with clash detection and coordination workflows
• Ability to read and understand construction documents (architectural, structural, MEP)
• Strong communication and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working on large commercial, healthcare, industrial, or data center projects
• Familiarity with:
  • Autodesk Construction Cloud (Forma)
  • Bluebeam
  • Modeling software
  • Microsoft Office
  • Tekla Structures
  • Laser scanning processing (3D point cloud)
  • Understanding of BIM Execution Plans (BEPs) and LOD requirements
