Job summary

Holder Construction is seeking a BIM/VDC Engineer to join the Virtual Design & Construction team for a Franklin Furnace, Ohio project. This is a full-time, in-person position.

Ideal candidates have 0–4 years in BIM/VDC for commercial construction, a related bachelor’s degree, and willingness to relocate and travel. Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, and MS Office is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent experience.
• 0–4 years BIM/VDC experience on commercial projects.
• Willingness to relocate and travel.
• Experience with Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks preferred.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate problem solving using technology and collaboration with project teams, both internal and external
• Coordinate workload for one or more projects with VDC Manager(s)
• Manage modeling efforts and deliverables to solve construction issues
• Understand and contribute to the VDC coordination schedule by tracking responsibilities and providing progress updates
• Identify and facilitate resolution of coordination conflicts using clash detection in Navisworks
• Lead clash resolution and coordination meetings, ensuring all items are completed
• Use modeling best practices and company standards to produce accurate models
• Conduct quality reviews of modeled scope from others and confirm compliance with contract documents
• Apply concepts from training sessions and lessons learned to facilitate project coordination
• Understand and implement VDC services in accordance with standards and best practices
• Contribute to VDC goals and company initiatives
