Job summary

Jobot in Houston (Bellaire), TX is seeking a BIM Technician to build 3D Revit models and construction drawing sets for water and wastewater projects. The role requires turning concepts and redlines into coordinated drawings, collaborating with engineers and project managers, and owning deliverables onsite.

You should have 2+ years of Revit design experience or 6+ years with a high school diploma, and a background in water/wastewater or related engineering design.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on Revit design experience.
• Industrial or engineering design background: water/wastewater, process piping, HVAC, or MEP.
• Experience producing construction documents in an engineering design environment.

Responsibilities

• Create and refine 3D Revit models and BIM-based construction documents for water and wastewater projects.
• Partner with engineers, designers, and project managers to turn concepts, sketches, and redlines into accurate, coordinated models and drawings.
• Produce high-quality plans, sections, details, sheets, and full construction drawing sets ready for agency approval.
• Coordinate models across disciplines and resolve design conflicts before they reach construction.
• Own model updates, revisions, and deliverables to keep projects on schedule.
• Help develop and maintain Revit standards, templates, families, and BIM workflows.
• Troubleshoot BIM challenges and find more efficient ways to get the work done.
• Perform quality checks on models and deliverables.
• Mentor and review the work of junior BIM and CAD team members.
• Keep up with new Revit and BIM technology and better ways to deliver projects.

What We Are Looking For: We are looking for a BIM Technician to build 3D Revit models and construction drawing sets for our water and wastewater projects. You’ll work with engineers, designers, and project managers to turn concepts, sketches, and redlines into accurate, coordinated drawing sets that are ready for agency approval. We want someone with an industrial or engineering design background who uses Revit for real design work, has strong attention to detail, and takes ownership of their deliverables. This role reports to the VP - Water and is 100% onsite at our Houston (Bellaire) office. Schedule: Monday-Thursday 7:30am-5:30pm, Friday 8:00am-12:00pm.

What You Will Do:

Requirements:

• Experience producing full construction drawing sets preferred
• Experience mentoring or reviewing the work of junior drafters preferred
• AutoCAD and Navisworks experience a plus
