Job summary

Mi‑Tech, part of the Michels Family of Companies, seeks a BIM Technician I to develop and maintain 3D BIM models and construction drawings in our Wisconsin offices. You will work with engineers, project managers, and BIM leadership to ensure models are accurate, buildable, and aligned with project requirements.

The role emphasizes model production, detailing, and documentation, with opportunities to improve workflows and contribute to real-world infrastructure projects.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in BIM, VDC, or detailing in construction or engineering.
• Experience producing 3D models and 2D construction drawings.
• Familiarity with model-based workflows and drafting standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain accurate 3D BIM models using Revit.
• Produce detailed construction drawings and fabrication-ready docs.
• Incorporate markups and design revisions into models.
• Prepare models for coordination and clash detection.
• Ensure alignment with project specs and company standards.
• Assist with model setup, organization, and file management.
• Collaborate with engineers and BIM leadership to resolve issues.
• Extract quantities and layout info for planning.
• Maintain BIM standards and naming conventions.
• Prepare as-built drawings based on field feedback.
• Participate in project meetings on scope and deliverables.
• Improve modeling workflows and efficiency.
