We are looking for a BIM Technician with Revit software experience to support our NY/NJ Water team in the delivery of water, wastewater, conveyance, and stormwater projects. In this role, you’ll be responsible for preparing 3D models using appropriate design criteria, and technical manuals often working closely with engineers. Performing standard work methods are followed for preparing engineering drawings under general supervision. You’ll interface with internal and external contacts and will coordinate with multiple project design disciplines for interference checking and quality control. Role involves working in-person full-time at project sites in New York City and Westchester County.

Pay information

The base pay range is $70,000.00/yr - $115,000.00/yr. This range is provided by Jacobs. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more. The base salary range for this position is $70,000.00 to $115,000.00; though will be paid hourly based on hours worked. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare 3D models using Civil 3D, Revit, and related BIM tools for water, wastewater, conveyance, and stormwater projects.
  • Coordinate with engineers and other design disciplines for interference checking and quality control.
  • Support BIM manager, BIM coordinator and designer in BIM implementation on projects.
  • Interface with internal and external contacts and contribute to project documentation and drawings.
  • Work in-person at project sites in New York City and Westchester County.
Qualifications
  • Higher Certificate / Diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience on Civil 3D.
  • Preferably possess a recognized certificate, diploma or above in BIM, Architecture, Building, Construction, Engineering, Surveying or equivalent.
  • Solid experience in 3D modelling software (Civil 3D and/or Revit), BIM 360 / Construction Cloud, Navisworks Manage, AutoCAD. Civil 3D experience preferred.
  • Civil 3D modelling on site formation, road alignment and drainage piping works.
  • Familiar with CIC and CEDD BIM modelling standard.
  • Good command of spoken and written English.
