Job summary

GAI Consultants, Inc. is seeking a BIM/MEP Designer to support Revit BIM and AutoCAD drafting for diverse clients across industries. The role may be fully remote or part of GAI’s Hybrid workplace policy, aligning with team collaboration and project needs.

The candidate should bring 10+ years of BIM/MEP experience, solid Revit and AutoCAD skills, and the ability to work within project teams or independently to deliver accurate drawings and models.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of BIM/MEP design experience.
  • Proficiency with Revit and AutoCAD in industrial/power/utility projects.
  • Strong ability to coordinating with internal teams and external entities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead design drafting and BIM activities for Revit based efforts.
  • Set up Revit models and workspaces for projects.
  • Coordinate with external entities to assimilate BIM workspaces.
  • Develop and enforce Revit standards.
  • Build Revit content libraries and families.
  • Lead model clash detection and coordination processes.
  • Work with other designers/drafters within a project team.
  • Perform AutoCAD drafting and designing services.
  • Acquire data from site walkdown via 3D scan, measurement, or sketches and translate to client MEP drawings.
  • Check/verify drawings/models for errors and clashes.
  • Develop drawing sets for review, permitting, bids, or construction.
  • Assist with internal drafting and BIM standardization.

Job description

GAI Consultants, Inc is seeking a Building Information Modeling (BIM) / Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing (MEP) Designer to work within our Power & Industry Business Sector. This position will support Revit BIM, and AutoCAD design drafting for industrial, power, utility, government, health care, educational, and commercial clients. Depending on the candidates’ location, this position will be fully remote or part of GAI’s Hybrid workplace place/Telework Policy. This position will function as a member of a team or independently to design MEP systems.

Job Duties
  • Lead design drafting and BIM activities for Revit based efforts
  • Set up Revit models and workspaces for projects
