Job summary

Water Resources Group is seeking a BIM modeler intern for summer 2027 (May–August) to support the VDC team from our Golden, CO office. This paid internship will involve detailing workplans, model quality checks, site visits, and Navisworks/REVIT/AutoCAD tasks.

You will collaborate with field teams, gain exposure to concrete and pipe construction, and participate in clash detection and data packaging for project submittals. Housing is provided for out-of-town hires.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Surveying, Construction Management or an engineering discipline preferred with emphasis on VDC practices.
• Knowledge of Trimble, Revit, Navisworks, ReCAP, AutoCAD Suites, Microsoft Office Products, PDF Based Workflow, and Cloud Based Applications is encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Assist in final detailing of workplans and drawing sets.
• Understand model constructability and design quality.
• Gain knowledge of concrete and pipe construction.
• Scan job sites and upload scans to the proper location.
• Review scans for alignment and adjust as needed.
• Create Navisworks files from engineer's models and WRG models.
• Assist in clash detection within Navisworks.
• Participate in project team meetings.
• Visit active construction sites to understand constructability.
• Check model quantities for quality control.
• Package submittal data for modeling use.
