Job summary

Kiewit Industrial and Water Engineering (KIWE) in Lenexa, KS is seeking a BIM Design Intern for Summer 2027. You will assist in developing multi-discipline 3D models and construction documents for Power, Industrial, Water, Infrastructure, and Services projects.

Join a team of designers and engineers to execute deliverables, perform quality checks, and participate in BIM/Revit process development while learning company design-build methods.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a vocational training program or degree in CAD, architectural tech, or BIM design.
• Effective written and verbal communication.
• Familiarity with BIM software like Revit or Navisworks.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the execution of multi-discipline project design deliverables in Revit, as assigned by the project lead.
• Work in a team environment with other designers and engineers to meet project goals.
• Provide quality checks for deliverables in accordance with company standards.
• Participate in BIM/Revit process, tool and standard development/maintenance.
• Become familiar with company “design-build” engineering design processes.
