Lynk Engineers, a multidisciplinary engineering firm, seeks experienced BIM Modelers – Mechanical and Electrical, to develop detailed BIM models and construction documents using Revit. You will coordinate with engineers, designers, architects, and project stakeholders to translate concepts into accurate, coordinated models.

The role requires strong Revit skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate across disciplines.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in drafting, design, engineering technology, or related field (preferred).
• 4+ years of experience in BIM modeling or architectural/engineering design.
• Proficiency with Autodesk Revit; experience with Revit MEP.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed 3D BIM models for mechanical or electrical building systems.
• Use Autodesk Revit to produce models, plans, details, schedules, diagrams and construction documents.
• Model and document HVAC, plumbing, piping, equipment (Mechanical BIM) or power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, communications (Electrical BIM).
• Coordinate with architecture, structure, ME/EE teams to ensure clash-free models.
• Incorporate revisions and redlines into BIM models and drawings.
• Assist with Revit families, details, schedules, and content.
• Follow BIM standards and project checklists; maintain model accuracy.
• Support cloud workflows and project setup in BIM 360/Autodesk Construction Cloud.

Position Summary

Lynk Engineers is seeking experienced BIM Modelers – Mechanical and Electrical to join our growing team. In this role, you will develop detailed BIM models and construction documents for mechanical or electrical building systems while collaborating closely with engineers, designers, architects, and other project stakeholders.

The BIM Modeler plays an important role in translating engineering concepts and design direction into accurate, coordinated models and drawings. This position requires strong Revit skills, attention to detail, an understanding of building systems, and the ability to coordinate effectively across multiple disciplines.

Primary Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed 3D BIM models for mechanical or electrical building systems under the direction of engineers, designers, project managers, and/or discipline leads.
• Utilize Autodesk Revit to produce accurate models, plans, details, schedules, diagrams, and construction documents based on project requirements and design direction.
• For Mechanical BIM, model and document HVAC, plumbing, piping, equipment, and other applicable mechanical building systems.
• For Electrical BIM, model and document power distribution, lighting, lighting controls, fire alarm, communications, and other applicable electrical building systems.
• Collaborate with architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and technology teams to coordinate building systems within the overall project model.
• Identify and assist in resolving spatial conflicts and coordination issues between disciplines.
• Incorporate redlines, markups, design revisions, and engineering direction into BIM models and construction documents.
• Assist with the development and modification of Revit families, details, schedules, views, filters, and other model content.
• Follow company BIM standards, project-specific requirements, file-management procedures, and drawing checklists.
• Conduct regular reviews of models and drawings to maintain accuracy, consistency, and alignment with project requirements.
• Support project teams with model setup, cloud collaboration, file management, and BIM 360/Autodesk Construction Cloud workflows.
• Assist with coordination and clash-detection processes using Revit and Navisworks, as applicable.
• Develop an understanding of project development from schematic design through construction documents and construction administration.
• Assist with submittal reviews and construction administration activities as directed by the project engineer or project manager.
• Participate in project and coordination meetings as needed.
• Communicate effectively with project managers, engineers, designers, and other stakeholders regarding model coordination, project updates, and design changes.
• Manage assigned tasks and deadlines across multiple projects while maintaining a high level of accuracy and quality.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency with Autodesk Revit and BIM modeling workflows.
• Experience with AutoCAD and Revit MEP.
• Ability to produce high-quality, accurate drawings and models.
• Ability to set up projects and work effectively within existing Revit models.
• Experience modifying details, families, views, schedules, and filters.
• Understanding of spatial coordination and multidisciplinary BIM workflows.
• Familiarity with LOD 100 and LOD 200 modeling requirements; experience with higher LOD levels is a plus.
• Knowledge of BIM 360 and/or Autodesk Construction Cloud, including cloud modeling and project setup.
• Familiarity with Bluebeam.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Teams, and SharePoint.
• Understanding of file management, folder structures, and document-control practices.
• Ability to follow drawing and quality-control checklists for final project deliverables.
• Ability to interpret engineering markups, sketches, design criteria, and project documentation.
• Strong attention to detail and design problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage changing priorities and multiple project deadlines.
• Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary project teams.
• Proficiency with Navisworks Manage preferred.
• Flexibility in work hours and willingness to work additional hours when necessary to meet project deadlines.

Education and Experience

• Associate degree in drafting, design, engineering technology, or a related field preferred; equivalent relevant experience will also be considered.
• 4+ years of experience in architectural/engineering design, BIM modeling, or a related AEC environment preferred.
• Demonstrated technical proficiency with BIM software, particularly Autodesk Revit.
• Experience modeling and documenting mechanical and/or electrical building systems.
• Knowledge of BIM 360/Autodesk Construction Cloud and collaborative cloud-based modeling workflows.
• Working knowledge of building construction processes and multidisciplinary coordination.
• Familiarity with applicable mechanical or electrical building systems, terminology, codes, and industry standards.
