Job summary

Actalent is seeking a BIM Modeler to maintain and coordinate project BIM models, supporting design and documentation in a fast-paced office environment. The role emphasizes Revit modeling, Navisworks coordination, and adherence to ANSI drafting standards.

Responsibilities include setting up models, producing high-quality drawings, mentoring teammates, and collaborating with the BIM Manager on workflows and training. Office-based role in Gastonia, NC with strong team collaboration.

Qualifications

• Requires knowledge of Autodesk Revit with at least 1 year of experience.
• Experience with AutoCAD for drafting and design.
• Experience in Navisworks-based BIM coordination.
• Solid understanding of ANSI drafting standards.
• Electrical design exposure preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain BIM models and related docs per project requirements.
• Set up BIM models at project start with proper configuration.
• Monitor models to prevent errors and resolve issues.
• Manage model outputs (views, sheets, exports) for design/docs.
• Perform BIM coordination using Navisworks to resolve issues.
• Provide technical BIM support to project teams.
• Explain advanced BIM concepts to team members.
• Teach BIM concepts and tools to others.
• Apply ANSI drafting standards in drawings.
• Collaborate with BIM Manager on training/workflow needs.
• Develop 3D models using Revit, AutoCAD, and related CAD software.
• Produce high-quality drafting and 3D modeling deliverables.
• Communicate clearly with stakeholders.
• Contribute to a collaborative, growth-focused team environment.
