Job summary

DPR Construction’s Evergreen Innovation Group (EIG) is seeking a BIM Modeler, Electrical to join the VDC group. You will develop and coordinate model‑based fabrication and installation information, supporting BIM implementation from design through field operations.

You’ll mentor others in Navisworks, Revit, AutoCAD, and Bluebeam, contribute to 3‑D trade coordination, and help advance BIM standards across large capital projects.

Qualifications

• Detailing experience for prefabricated modular/volumetric solutions.
• Familiar with submittals, RFIs, budgets and change orders.
• Strong Autodesk skills: Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks.
• Ability to learn new software and train others.
• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or related field; or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Configure and set up project sites to host BIM data per EIG practices.
• Create and coordinate detailed fabrication models for planning, design, coordination, and prefab of electrical work.
• Support project set‑up for 3‑D trade coordination, site logistics, and 4‑D sequencing.
• Participate in model‑based design coordination meetings and coordinate with trade partners.
• Assist on‑site construction teams in implementing VDC applications, processes, and deliverables.
• Provide training and mentoring on BIM software packages such as Navisworks, Revit, AutoCAD, and Bluebeam.
• Enhance EIG templates and modeling best practices.

Job Title

BIM Modeler, Electrical (Evergreen Innovation Group, part of DPR)

Overview

The BIM Modeler, Electrical will work as part of the Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) group, collaborating with project teams to improve delivery using Building Information Modeling (BIM). Responsibilities include developing and coordinating model‑based fabrication and installation information, supporting BIM implementation through to field operations, and providing technical support to project teams.

Responsibilities

• Configure and set up project sites to host BIM data adhering to EIG best practices.
• Create and coordinate detailed fabrication models for planning, design, coordination, and prefab of electrical work.
• Support project set‑up for 3‑D trade coordination, site logistical planning, and 4‑D sequencing efforts.
• Participate and provide technical support in model‑based design coordination meetings and coordinate with other trade partners.
• Support BIM to field equipment and/or software set‑up.
• Enhance EIG templates and modeling best practices.
• Support VDC laser scanning, drone operations, rapid technology services, and related activities.
• Assist on‑site construction teams in implementing VDC applications, processes, and deliverables.
• Provide training and mentoring on BIM software packages such as Navisworks, Revit, AutoCAD, and Bluebeam.

Qualifications

• Previous detailing experience for prefabricated modular or volumetric solutions.
• Experience working in a flat‑organization environment that demands full transparency, collaboration, and influence.
• Knowledge of fundamental project‑management processes (submittals, RFIs, budgets, change orders).
• Basic to intermediate knowledge of construction‑management processes and tools (CMiC a plus).
• Intermediate to advanced Autodesk package skills (Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks).
• Understanding of BIM concepts (level of development, parametric models, coordination, clash detection, coordinate systems).
• Intermediate knowledge of Autodesk BIM 360 Build products: Glue, Field, Docs, and/or Plan.
• Ability to quickly learn new software and train others.
• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or related field; or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5+ years of electrical field experience with hands‑on construction technologies and VDC adoption on large capital projects.
• Journeyman’s license is a plus.
