Job summary

Everest Technical Services, an Ireland-headquartered BIM and MEP design consultancy, seeks a BIM Mechanical Engineer to develop and coordinate HVAC designs using BIM for projects across the UK, US, and Gulf regions. The role requires strong mechanical modelling skills and proficiency in Revit MEP, AutoCAD, Navisworks, and Revit Fabrication, plus the ability to work independently in a remote setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 4+ years of BIM and mechanical design experience on UK, US, and Gulf projects.
• Proficiency in design software including Revit MEP, AutoCAD, Revit Fabrication, BIM 360, Navisworks; experience with spool creation using Victaulic.
• Strong understanding of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems, with knowledge of building codes and energy efficiency.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills and ability to work remotely.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on BIM modelling on Revit for HVAC, coordination of MEP disciplines.
• Read and interpret MEP mark-ups, drawings, plans, sections, and schematics.
• Perform 3D Revit modelling tasks and coordinate MEP services.
• Develop and coordinate HVAC models, ensure compliance with specs and international standards; integrate MEP systems.
• Utilize AutoCAD, Revit Fabrication, BIM 360, Navisworks for model creation, detailing, and coordination.
• Conduct clash detection and resolution to ensure seamless integration; create spool drawings for piping and ductwork.
• Prepare and maintain detailed documentation, drawings, specifications, and reports for HVAC systems.
• Participate in project meetings and provide technical support to resolve design issues; maintain fabrication databases/ITM files.
• Stay updated with BIM and mechanical design industry trends and best practices.

Job Title - BIM Mechanical Engineer

Overview

As a BIM Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for the development and coordination of HVAC designs using Building Information Modeling (BIM) for diverse projects across the UK, US, and Gulf regions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical modelling and expertise in relevant software applications.

Responsibilities:

• Hands on experience in BIM Modelling on Revit softwar
• Independently Read & understand various MEP Mark-ups / drawings / Plan / Section / Schematic
• Perform assigned 3D Revit modeling tasks as assigned by the lead. MEP services modelling & coordination using Revit MEP.
• Develop and coordinate HVAC models using Revit MEP, ensuring compliance with project specifications and international standards and collaborate with project teams to integrate mechanical, plumbing, and electrical systems into overall building designs, ensuring efficient and effective solutions.
• Utilize software tools such as AutoCAD, Revit Fabrication, BIM 360, and Navisworks for model creation, detailing, and coordination.
• Conduct clash detection and resolution using Navisworks to ensure seamless integration of mechanical systems with plumbing and electrical systems and Prepare and maintain detailed documentation, including drawings, specifications, and reports related to HVAC systems with Creation of spool drawings for piping & Ductwork.
• Participate in project meetings and provide technical support to resolve design-related issues with Creating and maintaining fabrication databases, ITM files
• Stay updated with industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to BIM and mechanical design.

Experience and Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field with 4+ years of experience in BIM and mechanical design, with proven experience on UK, US, and Gulf projects.
• Proficiency in design software, including Revit MEP, AutoCAD, Revit Fabrication, BIM 360, Navisworks, and other relevant applications with experience in Spool creation using Victaulic & any other tool.
• Strong understanding of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems, as well as building codes and energy efficiency principles.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting.
