Job summary

Salas O’Brien seeks a BIM Manager to lead model development and cross-disciplinary coordination on complex federal facility programs, including DOE/NNSA projects. You will enforce BIM standards, manage model federation, and ensure design integrity through milestones from concept to construction.

The role requires a US citizen, 10+ years in BIM leadership, and the ability to travel 10–20%. North Carolina-based, full-time with strong benefits and performance incentives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 10 years in BIM management or digital design leadership.
• Experience federating models across multiple disciplines on complex projects.
• Knowledge of secure/high-hazard facility design considerations (e.g., ICD 705 or equivalent).
• US citizenship required; ability to obtain security clearance; travel 10–20%.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain BIM execution plans and LOD requirements.
• Lead federated model coordination across architectural, structural, MEP, and security teams.
• Run clash detection and track resolutions with discipline leads.
• Ensure model reflects design intent at milestones and supports constructability reviews.
• Coordinate tracking of long-lead equipment and security infrastructure.
• Support constructability updates and as-built reconciliation with field conditions.
• Mentor CADD/BIM technicians and lead discipline modeling teams.
