Job summary

NNaimor, Inc. is seeking a Civil/Structural Engineer to provide BIM coordination and fabrication support in Snohomish, WA. The role focuses on developing 2D/3D BIM models and fabrication drawings for metal components, coordinating across disciplines.

The ideal candidate has a Master’s in civil/structural engineering with at least 2 years of related experience and proficiency in AutoCAD/Revit, SolidWorks, or Onshape. PE not required for project signing; training opportunities may be provided.

Qualifications

• Master's degree required for role
• Two years of civil/structural engineering experience
• Proficiency in BIM/3D modeling software (AutoCAD, Revit)
• Understanding of concrete, steel and composite materials
• Knowledge of structural analysis support and cost estimation

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain 2D and 3D BIM models for construction projects.
• Prepare fabrication and construction drawings for metal parts and assemblies.
• Conduct field measurements and prepare sketches or reports for project documentation.
• Assist in structural analyses and review material specifications under guidance.
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure design consistency and manufacturability.
• Assist in cost estimation and material quantification using BIM data.
• Support coordination between design and production teams in metal fabrication projects.
• Provide support for CNC or automated metal fabrication processes using sheet and tube programming software.
• Utilize SolidWorks, Onshape, or equivalent for design integration.
• Facilitate integration of information across multidisciplinary teams and BIM platforms.
• Ensure interoperability and quality control between modeling and documentation platforms.
• Note: in-house training related to CNC programming and 3D design tools may be provided.
