Job summary

ACCO Engineered Systems in Pasadena, CA seeks a Sheet Metal Detailer to coordinate and model projects from start to finish using Revit, Fabrication and BIM tools. You will read plans, create 3D models, and engage with the BIM team to resolve clashes and improve install efficiency.

Requirements include 5+ years in sheet metal, strong communication, and proficiency in Revit, Navisworks, BIM 360 and related software. Occasional travel and relocation to Pasadena area are possible.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in sheet metal detailing or related field.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with reading plans, specs and submittals.
• Proficient in key Autodesk tools for BIM coordination.

Responsibilities

• Lead sheet metal detailing on assigned projects.
• Streamline layout/routing; reduce fittings.
• Identify efficiency gains and reduce risk.
• Read/extract information from contract documents.
• 3D Revit / CAD modeling and coordination.
• Attend project coordination meetings with BIM team.
• Create layout point files for Trimble/Topcon.
• Support detailers; maintain logs and RFIs.
• Post models to client FTP sites; represent ACCO values.
