Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience) required.
• 2+ years of experience in electrical design or building systems engineering required.
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification required.
• Active NCEES Record for future PE licensure preferred.
• Working knowledge of electrical building systems, including power distribution, lighting, grounding, and low-voltage.
• Proficiency with CAD and BIM software used for electrical design and multidisciplinary coordination.

Responsibilities

• Prepare electrical drawings, specifications, calculations, and design documentation throughout all phases of project delivery under guidance of senior engineers.
• Develop electrical system layouts for power distribution, lighting, grounding, and low-voltage systems using applicable principles, codes, and standards.
• Perform basic electrical engineering calculations, including load calculations, panel schedules, circuiting, and equipment layouts.
• Produce coordinated construction documents, single-line diagrams, lighting plans, power plans, and supporting design documentation.
• Utilize CAD and BIM software to create and coordinate accurate 2D drawings and 3D electrical models.
• Collaborate with electrical engineers, architects, designers, and other disciplines to develop coordinated and constructible designs.
• Support construction administration activities by reviewing shop drawings, RFIs, site visits, and field coordination.
