Job summary

SPC Mechanical in Wendell, NC seeks a CAD/BIM technician to support the Lead Coordinator with construction planning, layout and fabrication drawings. You will work under guidance to ensure compliance with standards, codes, specifications and SOPs, with proficiency in BIM platforms like Revit, Navis, Sysque and Vic Tools, as well as Excel and Outlook.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school.
• 6 months to 1 year related experience and/or training.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD Design software and MS Excel/Word.

Responsibilities

• Provide construction planning and create layout and fabrication drawings.
• Maintain drawings and BOMs, printing spool books and drawings.
• Develop and maintain libraries of equipment and fittings for BIM.
• File drawings, BOMs and cut sheets properly.
• Provide detailed shop drawings for duct and piping with in-time frames.
• Create piping and hanger assembly drawings for multiple shops.
• Learn information regarding mechanical and plumbing installations for MEP systems.
• Utilize CAD software to produce finished designs from sketches.
