In the role of Digital Design Lead, you'll be responsible for:

  • Working within a specific discipline with minimal guidance from Architects/Engineers or other technical professionals.
  • Managing their discipline model and generating BIM elements based on the Level of Development (LOD) outlined in the Digital Delivery Plan (DDP) and project scope.
  • Creating and maintaining the discipline model, systems, content, and overall digital delivery output.
  • Being skilled with the software used for design production as specified in the Digital Delivery requirements.
  • Having an advanced understanding of architectural/engineering documentation, plan presentation, and interaction with other discipline models.
  • Modeling BIM elements accurately within the current 3D software environment.
  • Preparing detailed drawings, layouts, and diagrams within project scope, schedule, and budget constraints.
  • Maintaining the discipline model with project information, coordinates, scales, orientations, and other relevant data.
  • Producing discipline-specific documentation with precise annotations.
  • Monitoring, improving, and maintaining company standards and model health, and coordinating design with other disciplines through reviews and 3D coordination processes.
  • Executing all Digital Delivery requirements as identified for the project.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate degree or relevant education and experience.
  • Knowledge of design development and construction document production, engineering planning, modeling, and detailing.
  • Strong skills in Revit, Microsoft Office, AutoCAD (desired).
  • Familiarity with databases is a plus.
  • Experience with architectural/engineering or consulting firms.
  • Interest or experience in sustainable design/LEED (preferred but not required).
  • Local candidates are preferred.

Required Qualifications:

  • Technical degree or relevant industry experience.
  • At least 5 years of industry experience.
  • Advanced skills in 3D design software and document management.
  • Proficiency with 3D coordination tools.
  • Competency in Microsoft Office and communication tools.
  • Strong understanding of engineering or architectural concepts.
  • Knowledge of industry standards, discipline codes, and specifications.
  • Excellent communication, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
