Job summary

Atkore is seeking a BIM Designer based in Addison, IL or Tampa, FL to develop complete system designs in CAD or Revit for customers. You will coordinate Revit models, create families, perform clash detection, and deliver regular progress updates to the project team.

The role requires 2+ years of Revit and Navisworks experience, a relevant engineering or architecture degree, and legal authorization to work in the US without sponsorship. We offer a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• AS/BS/MS degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Computer Science), Architecture or similar building design profession.
• 2+ years of professional Revit experience.
• 2+ years of Navisworks experience.
• Experience in a construction environment and/or Structural or MEP industry preferred.
• An advanced degree is preferred.

Responsibilities

• BIM Modeling, Clash Detection, Design, and Drafting.
• Coordinate and Manage Revit Models.
• Create/ Modify/ Update Revit Families.
• Provide prompt and accurate progress status reports on a regular and consistent basis to supervisor and project team members.
• Review all work for errors and mistakes prior to releasing as complete.
• Create, maintain, and follow standard work/check lists to ensure consistency and quality of work on every project.
• Identify training opportunities and areas for improvement based on day-to-day experiences and exposure to various projects.
• Develop complete system designs in CAD or Revit for customers.
• Independently execute assignments and accurately identify product specifications.
• Review work for accuracy and constructability
