Job summary

Actalent is seeking a BIM Designer to support BIM modeling, coordination, and model setup for electrical and ICT systems on large-scale projects, initially data centers. Qualifications

• 1-10 years of BIM experience, with 4-6 years preferred.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, including circuiting, electrical connectivity, work sets, and Revit-based documentation.
• Experience creating and managing Revit schedules, model content, families, and equipment modeling.
• Hands-on experience with clash detection, interdisciplinary coordination, and resolving model conflicts across multiple trades.
• Ability to support design teams through BIM coordination and model development without serving as the primary system designer.
• Experience collaborating on commercial, data center, healthcare, industrial, or other large-scale construction/design projects.

Job Description:

We are seeking a BIM Designer to support BIM modeling, coordination, and model setup efforts for electrical and ICT (Information & Communications Technology) systems on large-scale projects, with an initial focus on data centers. This is a production-focused support role best suited for someone with strong Revit experience who enjoys developing and maintaining BIM models rather than performing engineering design. The successful candidate will work closely with architects, engineers, BIM coordinators, and other trade partners to develop and maintain high-quality BIM models, support coordination efforts, and ensure project standards are followed. The primary focus will be on electrical BIM modeling, while also supporting ICT systems and layouts as needed. Candidates with backgrounds in electrical BIM modeling, electrical design support, or ICT/telecommunications drafting and modeling are encouraged to apply.

Work Environment and Projects:

• 100% remote position with the flexibility to work from anywhere in the U.S.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Dallas, TX.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $38.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
