Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a motivated BIM Designer to work on Civil, Structural, and Architectural models for data centre facilities.

You will support the Design Engineering team, preparing BIM models and documents using Revit, and influence exterior envelopes, interior architecture, structural systems, and space planning. The role involves collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, coordination meetings, and travel to data centre sites.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Civil, Structural, or Architectural design experience on mission critical facilities
• Experience using Revit for producing BIM models and construction drawings
• Familiarity with BIM coordination meetings and clash detection across multi-disciplinary models
• Proficiency in producing Civil, Structural, and Architectural drawings and documentation

Responsibilities

• Design Civil, Structural, and Architectural systems for data centres using Revit
• Work with internal teams and external suppliers to accomplish tasks
• Develop and publish construction documentation for CSA building designs
• Update and modify existing models and construction documents
• Create and maintain BIM templates and enforce BIM standards
• Participate in design coordination meetings to resolve clashes
• Work on multiple projects across locations
• Assist with information exchange between customers and teams
• Provide coordination support during construction phases
• Record and report key metrics to management
• Travel to data centre sites for evaluations (approx. once or twice a year)
• Contribute creative, out-of-the-box solutions
