Job summary

BL Companies is seeking a BIM Coordinator/Specialist in California to advance our firmwide BIM strategy in a hybrid work environment. The role is highly hands-on, collaborating with project teams to deliver model-based design and drive standardization across disciplines.

You will lead BIM planning, support drawing production, and develop training programs while improving BIM standards, templates, and digital assets.

Qualifications

• 5+ years as an AEC BIM professional with hands-on delivery.
• Experience leading BIM planning, standards, and training across disciplines.
• Familiarity with BIM standards (ISO 19650 a plus) and model audits.

Responsibilities

• Integrate with project teams to support design execution and model-based workflows.
• Lead BIM planning at project kickoff and key milestones.
• Advise teams on appropriate Level of Development (LOD) for deliverables.
• Perform regular model audits to ensure quality and performance.
• Troubleshoot BIM and Revit model issues across disciplines.

## Qualifications**BIM Coordinator/Specialist**BL Companies is growing and seeking a BIM Coordinator / Specialist to help advance our firmwide BIM strategy. This is a highly visible, hands‐on role for a 5+ years experienced AEC professional who is passionate about quality, consistency, and innovation in digital design delivery.In this role, you’ll collaborate directly with project teams, lead BIM planning efforts, support drawing production, and drive continuous improvement of BIM standards, workflows, and training across the firm.You will also play a critical role in developing talent by leading Revit training, strengthening digital asset libraries, and helping integrate BIM across multiple disciplines.**What You’ll Do****Project & Technical Leadership*** Integrate with project teams to support design execution and model-based workflows* Participate in drawing production alongside project teams* Support BIM project planning at project kickoff and key project milestones* Advise teams on appropriate Level of Development (LOD) for deliverables* Perform regular model audits to ensure quality, consistency, and performance* Troubleshoot BIM and Revit model issues across disciplines**BIM Standards & Process Development*** Manage BIM standards development, implementation, and firmwide consistency* Assist with developing and administering BIM documentation and workflow standards* Evaluate and recommend improvements to BIM integration in a multidisciplinary environment* Support integration with related technologies that tie to other software.**Training & Knowledge Sharing*** Design and deliver Revit training sessions from basic through advanced levels* Support and educate staff on primary design applications and BIM add‐ins* Lead ongoing training related to BIM standards, templates, and workflows* Identify, create, and enhance Revit content, families, schedules, and digital assets across disciplines**Preferred Skills*** Knowledge of BIM standards such as ISO 19650 is a plus* Familiarity with tools like Dynamo, BIM 360**BL Companies is 100% employee owned, giving us a competitive edge and a unique distinction from most other companies.
