Job summary

MissionHires is seeking a detail-oriented Plumbing or Sheet Metal Detailer to support mechanical construction projects by producing accurate shop drawings, equipment layouts, and 3D BIM models.

You will coordinate MEP systems, resolve design and installation clashes, and manage project documentation with strong attention to detail and collaboration across design, build, and field teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED plus 2+ years of related experience.
• Experience with AEC, BIM, CAD software including Navisworks, Revit, AutoCAD.
• Ability to read and interpret basic construction documents and drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate drawings.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Create shop drawings for plumbing, piping, HVAC, and sheet metal systems.
• Develop equipment layouts and installation details.
• Create and maintain 3D BIM models.
• Coordinate MEP systems and assist clash detection.
• Log, track, expedite, and maintain shop drawings, RFIs, and docs.
• Maintain organized document-control protocols for stakeholders.
• Collaborate with design, build, and field teams to resolve design issues.
• Read and interpret construction documents and installation requirements.
• Attend coordination meetings as required.
• Support project coordination across plumbing, piping, HVAC, and sheet metal trades.
