Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience utilizing Revit and AutoCAD within the MEP consulting industry.
  • 2+ years of experience supporting plumbing system design for commercial projects.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Revit project setup, model management, BIM coordination, and MEP drawing production.
  • Strong understanding of plumbing systems, design practices, codes, and industry standards.
  • Experience coordinating BIM efforts on multi‑discipline projects, including linked models and clash detection.
  • Proven ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve project objectives.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment while maintaining quality.

We are seeking a BIM Coordinator/Plumbing Designer to join our team. This role combines BIM coordination and model management with hands‑on plumbing design support across a variety of project types. The BIM Coordinator/Plumbing Designer will serve as a technical resource for Revit and BIM workflows while assisting engineers and project teams with the development and coordination of plumbing systems.

This position offers the opportunity to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, support the continuous improvement of BIM standards and processes, and contribute to the successful delivery of high‑quality MEP projects. This role is located in San Antonio, Texas and offers a flexible hybrid work schedule.

Responsibilities
BIM/Revit Coordination
  • Serve as a primary resource for Revit and BIM workflows, providing technical support to project teams

Plumbing Design
  • Assist engineers in developing plumbing system designs by creating and revising drawings and models as needed
  • Utilize Revit and AutoCAD to prepare plumbing plans, riser diagrams, schedules, details, and construction documents
  • Perform basic plumbing system sizing, equipment layout, and system coordination under the direction of project engineers
  • Coordinate plumbing systems with architectural, structural, mechanical, and electrical disciplines to ensure integrated building designs
  • Assist with the preparation of construction documents, permit sets, specifications, equipment schedules, and submittal reviews
  • Update drawings and models based on engineer markups, coordination comments, and project requirements
  • Participate in field verification and existing‑condition documentation as needed
  • Ensure compliance with applicable plumbing codes, standards, and project requirements throughout the design process
  • Coordinate with project managers and team members to support project planning, scheduling, and successful project delivery
Required Qualifications
  • 4+ years of experience utilizing Revit and AutoCAD within the MEP consulting industry
  • 2+ years of experience supporting plumbing system design for commercial projects

Desired Qualifications
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering Technology, Construction Technology, Drafting, or a related field preferred
  • Experience developing and maintaining Revit families, templates, and company standards
  • Familiarity with Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) and BIM 360 workflows
  • Understanding of mechanical and electrical systems coordination
  • Autodesk Revit certification
