Job summary

RELATED is seeking a qualified individual for a key coordination role in New York, NY. You will develop and maintain a BIM coordination schedule, oversee MEP trade models, and facilitate design meetings. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, strong experience in high-rise projects, and proficiency in tools like AutoCAD and Revit. Excellent communication and collaboration skills are essential to succeed in this position.

Qualifications

Job description

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a BIM coordination schedule aligned with the overall construction project schedule
• Manage and organize the project coordination documents folder, ensuring all pertinent information is accessible to relevant trades
• Oversee and coordinate all MEP trade models, integrating architectural and structural details
• Facilitate and lead design coordination meetings between trades and consultants
• Review, manage, and submit RFIs and shop drawings in a timely manner
• Organize and maintain multiple coordination models and execute collision detection to identify and resolve conflicts proactively
• Provide directional guidance to trades in response to design and owner changes as needed
• Generate comprehensive 2D and 3D logistics plans to support field operations
• Draft and model key project information to support coordination workflows
• Create field coordination drawings derived from subcontractor shop drawings, including composite concrete equipment pad drawings, composite slab penetration drawings and composite wall penetration drawings

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering or related field
• Prior experience on high-rise commercial and/or residential projects strongly preferred
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, NavisWorks and 3DS Max
• Strong 2D drafting and 3D modeling capabilities
• Demonstrated experience in running collision detection
• Ability to work well with all individuals including stakeholders, trades, unions, vendors, tenants and senior management personnel
• Exceptional communications skills – written and verbal
• Highly entrepreneurial, self-motivated and results-oriented individual
