Arcadis is seeking a BIM Coordinator / VDC Engineer to support a large-scale advanced technology tool install construction project for our client in Boise, Idaho. This role is focused on BIM coordination, clash management, model integration, constructability review, and stakeholder alignment across multiple trade partners and project teams.

The successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and ideally have experience leading or supporting BIM coordination for complex tool install, cleanroom, laboratory, or semiconductor projects within the high-tech industry. This position is best suited for someone with strong coordination and facilitation skills who can drive collaboration between design teams, trade partners, field teams, and client stakeholders to support successful project delivery.

Experience working in an EPCM environment and supporting projects involving cleanrooms, laboratories, semiconductor fabs, and tool install is strongly preferred.

This is a hybrid position and will require the selected individual to live locally or within commutable distance of Boise, Idaho. Relocation assistance is available for selected candidates.

  • Lead and support BIM/VDC coordination efforts across MEP and tool install scopes, with a strong focus on routing integration, constructability, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
  • Serve as a central point of coordination between trade partners, field teams, detailers, designers, and client stakeholders to align model-based workflows and resolve conflicts.
  • Facilitate and manage coordination meetings, including agenda preparation, issue tracking, meeting minutes, action item management, and follow-through to closure.
  • Oversee the model coordination process for piping, electrical, ductwork, and other building systems to support installation planning and field execution.
  • Manage and track clash detection and issue resolution workflows, ensuring that model conflicts are identified early and resolved efficiently.
  • Review and audit coordinated models for quality, completeness, constructability, and compliance with project BIM standards and routing requirements.
  • Coordinate inputs from tool install, central design, layout, pre-assignment, and basebuild teams to support accurate and buildable routing plans.
  • Promote integration of field constructability feedback into the coordination and detailing process to improve installation outcomes.
  • Monitor field implementation against the coordinated model and routing plan, capturing lessons learned and feeding them back into future coordination cycles.
  • Support contractors and project teams in identifying practical, model-based solutions that improve installation efficiency, productivity, and execution quality.
  • Maintain project BIM documentation, coordination logs, issue registers, and reporting metrics as required.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of BIM/VDC processes, coordination standards, and digital delivery workflows throughout project execution.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • 3+ years of experience in BIM/VDC coordination, model integration, or multidisciplinary coordination, preferably in the advanced technology, semiconductor, cleanroom, laboratory, or mission critical sectors.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting coordination-driven project delivery, including clash detection, issue tracking, and stakeholder facilitation.
  • Strong understanding of MEP systems coordination, installation sequencing, and constructability review in a construction environment.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard BIM/VDC tools such as Navisworks, Revit, BIM 360 / Autodesk Construction Cloud, AutoCAD MEP, and related coordination platforms.
  • Experience with laser scanning, point cloud integration, and existing conditions validation is preferred.
  • Familiarity with BIM execution planning, model governance, coordination workflows, and digital project controls.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with trade contractors, field teams, designers, and client representatives in both office and site environments.
  • Secondary education in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field preferred; equivalent practical experience will also be considered.
  • Ability to provide legal US work authorization documents required. Will consider US domestic travellers and relocation.
