Job summary

Samsung E&A America Inc. is seeking a BIM Coordinator to manage BIM files across Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD. You will coordinate daily with subcontractors and the client, run weekly BIM meetings, and ensure model accuracy and documentation.

The role requires strong organizational skills, experience with multiple BIM tools, and the ability to handle complex projects in a high-tech environment. Field office commuting is expected.

Qualifications

• 1+ year BIM coordination experience or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Daily coordination of BIM files from subcontractors and suppliers.
• Proactively identifying and resolving BIM issues via weekly meetings with subcontractors.
• Add/Utilize Parameters in BIM models.
• Compare 2D and 3D models and derive verification results.
• Create, update and manage .rfa family files in Revit.
• Perform clash checks and review issues.
• Create Clash Detective Reports and categorize issues.
• Utilize Viewpoints and Sets for organization.
• Respond to BIM-related correspondence and coordinate with field teams.

Job description

• The BIM coordinator manages BIM(Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD) files and keeps the system up to date through close communication/coordination with subcontractors and the client company

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Daily coordination of BIM files of subcontractors and suppliers
• Proactively identifying and resolving issues/current agendas through BIM Weekly Meetings with subcontractors

• Adding and utilizing Parameters
• Comparing 2D and 3D modelings and deriving verification results
• Creating, updating, modifying, and managing .rfa (family) files in Revit
• Clash checks/ reviewing/ detecting issues
• Creating Clash Detective Reports and categorizing issues by contractor
• Utilizing Viewpoints and Sets (Selection/Search Sets)

• Respond to correspondence related to BIM, Proactive communication with subcontractors
• Assume other responsibilities as assigned by the Company

Qualifications/Requirements

• At least 1 year (up to 7 years) of related experience
• Proven ability to comfortably utilize 3D modeling programs such as Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD on a daily basis
• Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and follow-ups, strong commitment to results
• Strong ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines
• Experience working with subcontractors
• Strong commitment towards results and high responsibility
• Excellent MS Office skills and documentation
• Analytical thinking and demonstrated ability to solve problems
• BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience of related field
• Experience in high-tech (semiconductor) product projects
• Experience in performing BIM operations utilizing VDI (Virtual Desktop Infrastructure)
• Experience of projects of more than 50M USD
• Experience in industrial and factory projects
• Experience in overseas/domestic EPC project experience
• International and multi-cultural experience a plus
• Ability to work in a multi-cultural
• Fluent Korean speaking and writing is a plus
