Job summary

Pape-Dawson Engineers in Fort Worth, TX seeks a Technician II to provide intermediate drafting and design support across civil disciplines. You will prepare, revise, and coordinate construction documents using AutoCAD Civil 3D and Revit under limited supervision.

You will apply company CAD standards, assist engineers, and maintain organized project files to support schedules. Requires an Associate degree or CAD certificate and at least 3 years of CAD drafting experience; strong attention to

Qualifications

Associate degree or certificate in CAD/Design or related field.
Minimum of 3 years’ experience drafting civil, transportation, or utility construction documents.
Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and Revit required.

Responsibilities

Prepare and revise construction plans, profiles, cross-sections, and details.
Develop documents from engineer markups with increasing independence.
Apply CAD drafting standards for consistency.
Incorporate QA/QC procedures to ensure quality and compliance.
Review own work for accuracy before submission.
Coordinate with engineers, designers, and project managers.
Maintain organized project files for team collaboration.
Create documents for underground utilities, paving, grading, drainage, and lift stations.
Interpret sketches and redlines from engineers with increasing independence.
