Job summary

Actalent in Arvin, CA is seeking an experienced CAD Engineer focused on manufacturing-driven BIM modeling and construction detailing. You will transform architectural and engineering designs into fabrication-ready models, shop drawings, BOMs, and production documentation, supporting prefabricated building systems.

The role requires proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, and Cadwork, with experience in modular/panelized construction and wood-frame building knowledge.

Qualifications

Experience converting architectural/engineering designs into fabrication-ready models.
Experience with BIM workflows and 3D building modeling.
Experience in modular, prefab, or panelized construction environments.
Knowledge of wood-frame and general building systems.

Responsibilities

Convert architectural and engineering designs into fabrication-ready models.
Produce shop drawings, fabrication drawings, and installation documents.
Create Bills of Materials (BOMs), material takeoffs, and cut lists.
Collaborate with production, manufacturing, engineering, and construction teams.
Interpret architectural, structural, MEP, and construction documents.
Improve processes, maintain quality control, and solve problems effectively.
Coordinate projects and communicate across teams.
