Job description

We are looking for a BillingPlatform Solutions Architect to join our team.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on expert in Billing Platform implementations, with a strong understanding of end-to-end billing processes, configuration, and integrations. This individual must have a demonstrated ability to architect and deliver Billing Platform solutions that meet complex business and technical requirements. A proactive mindset, attention to detail, and a strong focus on customer success are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

Pre-Sales Support:Participate in pre-sales discovery calls, solution scoping, and estimation for Billing Platform implementations.

Client Requirements Analysis:Lead client workshops to gather, analyze, and document billing-related requirements specifically for Billing Platform.

Solution Design:Design scalable and maintainable Billing Platform solutions, including workflows, product catalogue setup, rating, mediation, and invoicing logic.

Configuration Oversight:Define and oversee configuration of modules such as usage-based billing, account hierarchies, subscription lifecycle, pricing models, and taxation rules within Billing Platform.

Integration Planning:Architect integrations with external systems like Salesforce, ERP (e.g., NetSuite), payment gateways, and tax engines using Billing Platform APIs and middleware.

DevOps and CI/CD:Guide development teams on deploying Billing Platform configurations using DevOps best practices and CI/CD pipelines.

Testing Support:Support test case design and validation across SIT/UAT cycles, ensuring end-to-end functionality of Billing Platform workflows.

Stakeholder Collaboration:Act as the technical point of contact for Billing Platform-related topics with internal stakeholders, development teams, and client IT/business teams.

Change Management:Manage scope changes, enhancements, and release planning within the context of Billing Platform implementation lifecycle.

Documentation & Enablement:Create and maintain platform-specific documentation, including configuration guides, integration specs, and solution blueprints. Conduct knowledge transfer to client teams post-deployment.

Time zone Flexibility:Ability to work in EST time zone and coordinate with globally distributed teams.

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience with Billing Platform, with at least 2 full-cycle implementations in the role of Delivery or Solution Architect.
• Strong functional understanding of telecom, SaaS, or utility industry billing use cases and how they map to Billing Platform’s data model and process engine.
• Experience conducting end-to-end Quote to cash workshops with Customers, finalizing business requirements and converting business requirements into detailed design of BP configurations, Integrations and customizations.
• Deep knowledge of product catalogue design, usage processing, rating logic, and invoice templating in Billing Platform.
• Knowledge of revenue recognition concepts and implementing revenue recognition logic.
• Experience implementing the BP Customer portal.
• In-depth knowledge and experience handling customer data migration into BillingPlatform, including APIS and bulk loaders.
• Proven experience integrating Billing Platform with CRMs (e.g., Salesforce), ERPs (e.g., NetSuite, Oracle), tax engines (e.g., Avalara), and payment processors (e.g., Stripe, Adyen).
• Ability to lead technical discussions with client architects and translate business requirements into Billing Platform configurations.
• Skilled in platform scripting (Groovy), custom fields, expressions, and workflow orchestration within Billing Platform.
• Solid understanding of Billing Platform APIs, custom data objects, and scheduled job configurations.
• Experience with DevOps tools like GitHub, Jenkins, and deployment best practices specific to Billing Platform environments.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills focused on delivering platform-specific clarity and solution value.
• Strong project leadership skills with a focus on delivering Billing Platform solutions on time and within scope.
