Job summary

Northside Hospital in Atlanta is seeking a billing specialist to support the commercial and government billing/collections team by transmitting claims, preparing reports, and handling medical records. The role requires at least one year of billing experience or an Associate’s Degree in Business, with strong communication and typing skills.

Preference for a BS in Business or Accounting and experience with electronic billing systems.

Position Overview

Supports the commercial and government billing/collections team by transmitting claims, downloading and preparing reports, updating management reports, processing hardcopy mail, medical record handling, projects and any other duties assigned by management.

Requirements

• One (1) year experience in billing, OR a. Associate's Degree in Business.
• Good verbal communication skills and basic typing ability.

Preferred Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Business or Accounting.
• Two (2) years experience in insurance billing, or related area.
• Prior hospital or healthcare experience.
• Demonstrated knowledge of electronic billing systems.
