RecruiterForge is seeking a Billing Specialist to manage insurance claims, patient statements, and revenue cycle tasks for a virtual eating disorder treatment program. You will collaborate with insurance specialists and revenue cycle professionals to ensure accurate patient accounting and timely submissions.

You will handle denial management, resubmissions, and maintain organized claims processes while thriving in a fast-paced startup environment.

Formación

• 2-5 years of healthcare billing or revenue cycle experience.
• Experience in medical billing, coding, or health insurance, including CMS 1500 claims.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with diverse teams.
• Strong organization, multitasking skills, and a results-oriented approach.
• Ability to solve problems independently and work with evolving systems and processes.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced startup environment with frequent changes.

The Billing Specialist creates and submits insurance claims, bills, and patient statements for a virtual eating disorder treatment program. Working alongside insurance specialists and revenue cycle professionals, this role supports accurate patient accounting, claims tracking, denial management, and resubmissions.

Daily responsibilities

• Submit insurance claims for patient services within required filing timelines.
• Follow up on claim status, resolve submission errors, address incorrect denials, and resubmit claims as needed.
• Maintain accurate financial records, payment procedures, and claims processes.
• Collaborate with the revenue cycle team on patient accounting, statements, payment posting, and reconciliation.
• Keep claims submission and revenue cycle tracking processes organized.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

What you will need

• 2-5 years of experience in healthcare billing, revenue cycle, or patient accounting.
• Experience in medical billing, coding, or health insurance, including specific experience with CMS 1500 claims.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with diverse teams.

Physical requirements

• Perform stationary work from home, with the flexibility to sit or stand as needed.
• Operate standard office equipment and keyboards.
• Communicate by telephone.
