You will support daily and month-end billing, assist patients, caregivers, providers, and carriers, and help ensure regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Verify patient eligibility with insurance providers for open enrollment and follow-up.
• Maintain and audit patient files to defend third-party audits and support compliance.
• Respond to billing inquiries via phone or electronic means and resolve issues.
• Run Medicare plan comparisons and review patient profiles for cost-saving options.
• Process daily census, admissions, discharges, and room changes for facilities.
• Handle payments, returns, credits, and credit card transmissions.
• Pursue delinquent accounts and arrange payments when needed.
• Prepare audit documentation and support required reports.
• Adjudicate prescription claims and communicate with insurers on rejections.
• Learn pharmacy billing requirements (Medicare, Medicaid, PDPs, Third-Party).
• Develop proficiency with pharmacy information systems for operations and compliance.
