UW Health SwedishAmerican in Rockford is seeking a Billing Specialist for the Oncology Research program. The role focuses on the Rev Cycle and Medicare Coverage Analysis for clinical trials, with potential contract negotiations for trials. This is a 100% FTE hybrid position located at the UW Health N.

Bell School Rd. Clinic. Salary range is $22.64–$32.83 per hour, with differential opportunities, overtime, and on-call pay.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education or certification in medical coding, business or health-related field required.
• Three (3) years of experience in medical billing may be considered in lieu of post-secondary education or certification.
• Bachelor's Degree in business or health-related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage Rev Cycle activities for oncology research programs.
• Perform Medicare Coverage Analysis forms and abstract data.
• Negotiate contracts for potential clinical trials (pharma and non-industry).
• Audit internal Research Rev Cycle processes for compliance and accuracy.

100% FTE, Monday through Friday, 8 hour shift between 7:00am- 4:00pm; no weekends or holidays.t, this is a hybrid position, in person work location will be UW Health N. Bell School Rd. Clinic 3535 Bell School Rd.

Pay: $22.64 - $32.83 /hour

Successful candidates have experience working in a Research program’s Rev Cycle and have experience in Medicare Coverage Analysis forms, contract negotiation for potential trials (both pharmaceutical and non-industry trials), and performing audits over internal Research Rev Cycle processes.
