Job summary

Community Autism Services, a division of The Stepping Stones Group, seeks a Billing Specialist to manage billing and accounts receivable for nationwide behavioral health services. You will invoice daily, reconcile accounts, and pursue timely collections with professionalism.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in accounting focused on A/R, an associate degree, and proficiency in Excel and Waystar. Collaborative team environment and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Accounting.
• 3+ years in Accounting, with emphasis on A/R and Collections preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office Suite.
• Experience with Waystar required.
• Familiarity with Kronos or Great Plains preferred.
• Strong communication and customer service abilities.
• Highly organized, analytical, and detail-oriented.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary contact for customers, therapists, clinical managers, and account executives on billing issues.
• Perform daily accounts receivable (A/R) invoicing and post transactions in the billing system.
• Research and resolve payment discrepancies; communicate with customers as needed.
• Manage customer outreach to collect outstanding balances and reconcile disputes.
• Run weekly aging reports and follow up on past-due accounts.
• Partner cross-functionally with internal departments to ensure invoices are processed accurately and on time.
• Contribute to process improvement projects across the billing function.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
