Position Overview

Silco is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Billing Specialist to join our accounting team. The ideal candidate will manage billing processes, ensure the accuracy of invoices, and provide exceptional customer service regarding billing inquiries. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities
  • Invoice all service calls, emergency calls, and inspections with accuracy
  • Troubleshoot any invoices that are missing information
  • Collaborate with technicians to ensure correct customer invoicing
  • Collaborate with managers to ensure technicians are billed correctly
  • Run commission reports weekly for technicians
  • Coordinate with Payroll to ensure technician commissions are accurate
  • Issue and apply credit memos to customer accounts
  • Update information on customer accounts
  • Coordinate with Sales to ensure department sales are reported correctly
  • Work with AP/AR departments
  • Collaborate with Technicians / Schedulers and Coordinators
  • Data entry
  • Other duties as assigned by Supervisor or Manager
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s or Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred
  • Proven experience as a Billing Specialist or in a similar role
  • Proficiency in billing software and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel)
  • Strong understanding of billing procedures and best practices
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
  • Customer service-oriented with the ability to handle inquiries and resolve issues professionally
