ACCESS PT is a medical billing company specializing in physical and occupational therapy billing services. This position provides medical billing and collection services for the company's clients.

Job location is Campbell Hall, NY. Full-time role (Mon-Fri 8:00 AM–4:30 PM) with a pay rate of $18.00–$20.00 per hour, based on experience. You will verify new patient accounts and work closely with the Team Leader on related tasks.

Job Description:In this role, you are responsible for working closely with the Team Leader while verifying all new patient accounts that have been added to the system. This position will include a variety of related tasks including, but not limited to the following.

Job Type:Full-Time(Monday - Friday 8:00 A.M - 4:30 P.M)

Salary Description:$18.00-$20.00/hour, based on experience

Responsibilities

• Review insurance benefits for accuracy.
• Utilize payor portals to establish patients’ benefits.
• Communicate benefits to fellow co-workers at the clinics.
• Test accuracy of patient benefit information.
• Complete daily action item requirements.
• Must comply with confidentiality requirements according to HIPAA Policies and Procedures of Access PT.
• Adhere to all HIPAA regulations, maintaining strict confidentiality.
• Handle patient payment information according to policy while maintaining security at all times.
• Bring any compliance concerns to the attention of your supervisor or the Compliance Committee.

Qualifications

• Outstanding interpersonal skills including excellent written and verbal skills, relationship-building skills, and ability to use persuasive communication to effectively work with patients in a cooperative manner in order to improve patient satisfaction.
• Must have the ability to analyze data for statistics, navigate through the EMR system, and work in a fast-paced environment.
