Job Description:

Essentia Health is seeking a Remote Billing Representative.

Education Qualifications:

As a Billing Representative, your responsibilities include:

1. Processing paper and electronic claims with complete and accurate information to ensure payment.
2. Producing timely claims to prevent denials and maximize reimbursement.
3. Managing assigned work queues within the patient accounting system and claim scrubber edits prior to submission.
4. Optimizing claim submissions by reviewing and correcting to expedite payment.
5. Researching and communicating payer, HIPAA, or other regulatory changes affecting billing.
6. Collaborating with insurance companies, credentialing, access, managed care, and other stakeholders.
7. Recommending system changes to improve the revenue cycle process and quality.
8. Assisting in the development of training programs.

Position requires excellent customer service skills to foster positive relationships with patients, colleagues, and stakeholders.

Work Experience: 1 year healthcare billing/revenue services preferred.
