Job summary

Jet Health, Inc. seeks an experienced Home Health Billing Manager to lead Fort Worth-based billing operations for our Home Health division, including episodic/PDGM and per-visit claims, denial management, and AR follow-up.

• 5+ years in home health billing with 2+ years in a supervisory role.
• Direct HomeCare HomeBase (HCHB) experience required.
• Expertise in episodic/PDGM and per-visit claims processing.
• Strong Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payer knowledge.
• Experience managing NOAs, final claims, denials, and AR workflows.
• Proficiency in Excel; Tableau experience a plus.
• Hands-on leadership to coach a small team.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end home health billing operations, including episodic/PDGM and per-visit claims, submission, follow-up, and reconciliation.
• Oversee intake, authorizations, billing, claims, denials, collections, and AR to identify bottlenecks.
• Provide hands-on leadership to a small billing team, setting expectations for productivity and quality.
• Manage HCHB workflows, including NOAs, final claims, and legacy RAP processes.
• Ensure compliance with Medicare/Medicaid/payer guidelines.
• Drive timely denial resolution and proactive AR follow-up.
• Track revenue-cycle metrics (clean-claim rate, DSO, denial rate).
• Partner with finance/operations to close documentation gaps.

The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Home Health Billing Manager to lead billing operations for our Home Health division. This hands‑on role in our Fort Worth, TX corporate office, oversees the full billing cycle - claims submission, denials, collections, reconciliation, and accounts receivable follow‑up - while ensuring compliance with Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payer requirements.

The ideal candidate brings deep HomeCare HomeBase (HCHB) experience, strong knowledge of both episodic/PDGM and per-visit billing, and a proven ability to improve clean‑claim performance and reduce days sales outstanding (DSO).

What You'll Do

• Lead end-to-end home health billing operations, including episodic/PDGM and per-visit claims, submission, follow‑up, and reconciliation.
• Maintain visibility across intake, authorizations, billing, claims, denials, collections, and accounts receivable to identify and resolve bottlenecks.
• Provide hands‑on leadership to a small billing team, setting clear expectations for productivity, quality, and accountability.
• Manage HCHB billing workflows, including NOAs, final claims, financial batches, and applicable legacy RAP processes.
• Ensure compliance with Medicare requirements, state Medicaid rules, and payer‑specific billing guidelines.
• Drive timely denial resolution and proactive accounts receivable follow‑up.
• Track and report key revenue‑cycle metrics, including clean‑claim rate, DSO, denial rate, and collections performance.
• Partner with finance and operational leaders to close documentation gaps and improve billing outcomes.

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of home health billing experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role.
• Direct, hands‑on experience with HomeCare HomeBase (HCHB) is required.
• Expertise in episodic/PDGM and per-visit claims processing.
• Strong knowledge of Medicare home health billing, Medicaid, and commercial payer processes.
• Experience managing NOAs, final claims, denials, collections, and accounts receivable workflows.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; Tableau or similar reporting experience is a plus.
• A hands‑on leadership style with the ability to coach a small team and improve performance.

Preferred Experience

• Multi‑state or multi‑branch home health operations.
• Private‑equity‑backed, high‑growth, or turnaround environments.
• Medicare provider enrollment and licensing, including CMS‑855A applications, survey/certification status, and billing eligibility.
• Changes of ownership (CHOW), branch or location additions, and licensing changes affecting Medicare billing privileges.
• Medicaid‑certified Primary Home Care (PHC) or other personal care services billing.
• Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) compliance and personal care claims management.
• EVV or scheduling platforms such as Sandata or In My Team.

What Success Looks Like

• Clean‑claim rates and DSO are consistently tracked and trending favorably.
• Denials and aging receivables are addressed promptly and proactively.
• The billing team consistently meets productivity and quality expectations.
• HCHB workflows are optimized and documentation gaps are resolved before they delay billing.
