Ready to bring your expertise in billing to a practice that values teamwork, growth, and innovation? We’re on the hunt for a skilled, detail-oriented, and patient-focused Billing Manager to join our dynamic and collaborative team at Atlantic Eye. This is an in-office position located in Eatontown, and if you're passionate about making a difference, have a solid background in medical billing (bonus points for ophthalmology and ASC experience), and love taking on leadership challenges, this is the role for you!

Responsibilities

• Lead, inspire, and empower our billing team to reach their full potential while setting clear objectives and tracking performance.
• Oversee the entire billing process—from preparing and filing insurance claims to obtaining prior authorizations and addressing incorrect payments or denials.
• Be the go-to expert for insurance companies and adjusters—ensuring timely and accurate payments while keeping those aging reports in check.
• Accurately post all incoming payments from patients and insurance providers.
• Handle appeals, claims, and denials with a keen eye for detail, staying persistent until everything is sorted out.
• Provide top-notch customer service by addressing patient billing inquiries with professionalism and care.
• Jump in with other duties as needed
  
  

Qualifications

• 2+ years of medical billing experience (ophthalmology is a plus!).
• Strong understanding of the billing cycle, from registration to payment posting.
• Proficient in claim filing, documentation, and payment posting.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to juggle multiple tasks at once.
• Collaborative team player who can also work independently when needed.
  
  

Education Requirement

• High school diploma or equivalent.
  
  

Work Schedule

• Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM (Flexibility is key, with occasional evenings or weekends required).
